Masrur at his best here.... and Sinbad, hurm...
the future is up to you.
hakuryu is bae
It is a battle for the fate of their lives as Aladdin, Ali Baba, Morgiana and Prince Hakuryuu combine their powers to try and defeat Zagan and escape the Dungeon! Ohtaka will have fans cheering the whole way through this exciting entry. What will it take to keep this powerful entity from pummeling the gang to pieces?!
A trip to an exotic paradise turns into a deathtrap by the enemy! Also the dquinn is one of my favorites.
This is the eleventh volume in the Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic series. This was my least favorite book in the series so far. A lot of new characters are introduced and I was having some trouble following the story.
The Zagan arc wraps up in this book. The majority of the story consists of a large battle between our heroes and the Al Sarmen group. The eight generals also show up again (while I love these guys, I again have trouble keeping track of them all).
This manga series has been a bit inconsistent for me. It always seems like there is an epic story going on and then we are diverted to something smaller and less interesting (like the whole Zagan dungeon which I was initially excited about but then was kind of a drag). Some of these books have been really awesome and some have really dragged, this book was one of the worst ones. But it does seem like the story is changing course to something more interesting.
There is a ton of action in this book, which I enjoy. I thought the illustration in this book wasn’t as good as some of the other shounen I read (Claymore, Deadman Wonderland, Hellsing). At times I had trouble figuring out what was happening in the action scenes, there was just too much going on and characters weren’t as distinctive from each other as they could have been.
Overall this was a decent installment in the Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic series but still one of the weakest ones in the series so far. I will keep on reading the next couple volumes in the series, but if it continues in this way this is a manga series I will probably drop. I would recommend this series to fans of light-hearted and action packed fantasy manga. Most of the series has been very good.
