You know what they say: save a snare, bang a drummer.
Kay Fischer is well aware of what they say, and she intends to ignore it completely.
After her first step into the world of music journalism ended with a screw-up so royal it deserved a crown, Kay’s been struggling to re-stack the building blocks of her career. Salvation comes in the form of Sherbrooke Station, the latest alt-rock craze to grace Montreal’s legendary music scene.
A front page feature on the band everyone’s talking about seems like a foolproof shot at success, even after Kay meets their drummer. Matt Pearson might have a smile sexy enough to be the eighth deadly sin and a passion for music so powerful it makes her heart ache, but Kay’s got things under control.
She’s a professional, goddammit, and a professional would not get tongue-tied over a source.
A professional would not find herself opening her door at an hour long past midnight to pull said source inside and lead him to her bed.
No, that’s not at all what a professional would do.
Your Rhythm is part of the Sherbrooke Station Quartet, a series of steamy rock star standalones from author Katia Rose.

Your Rhythm is the first book in the Sherbrooke Station Series by Katia Rose. I love, love Rockstar romance novels, so I just am a huge fangirl when it comes to Rockers in my romance novels! Katia Rose is also a new to me author.
A little slow in the beginning but it picked up quite fast, and I couldn't put it down! I love it! Katia Rose is a new author for me, and I'm looking forward to reading more from her!
Main character Kay, is a music journalist who happens to be interviewing the newest hyped up band. Mediocre is what she thinks until she meets the drummer and quickly realizes this man isn't about the publicity or sold out shows. This man is strictly about the music and the emotions his music evokes. Matt is the drummer of the band Sherbrooke Station. The ink hasn't even dried on their contracts and Sherbrooke Station is already losing sight of whats important, the music. When Kay is assigned to get the juicy gossip, she has to make a decision of what's important to her. Her career or her new relationship.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book a lot. The pacing of the story was great, as was the setting. It had good secondary characters, sexy scenes, good banter, a heroine that was really smart and genuine, a hero who really wore his heart on his sleeve, loves his bandmates so much. I highly recommend it!

If you were to look on my bookstagram feed, you would see that im no stranger to Katia Rose. She writes the type of book that leaves your heart happy, and is one of my “automatic one-click”authors. Imagine my excitement when i was given the opportunity to read her new story, YOUR RHYTHM. It is a contemporary, romantic comedy, and involves one of my favourite things, musicians. I am a sucker for a rockstar book, and oh boy, did I fall in love with Matt Pearson!!! *sighs*
Matt is the drummer for up and coming, Montreal based rock group “Sherbrooke Station”. This story centres around him, his bandmates and of course, our heroine, Kay. I genuinely adored all of these characters, and am hoping that Ace, Cole and JP will also get their time in the spotlight, because i know their stories will be every bit as good.
Matt and Kay were a perfect match, in more ways than one, and they had that sizzling chemistry right from their very first meeting.
“Kissing Matt Pearson feels like making music. As we break apart and stare at each other’s shadowed faces, I know I’m not going to be able to get the song we just started out of my head for a long, long time.”
YOUR RHYTHM has everything you need in a story, relateable characters, romance, sexiness and some lighthearted funny moments. Im going to say that this is my favourite Katia Rose book to date, and look forward to the rest of the series.

This was D E L I G H T F U L ohmygod!!
I'm finding out about me that I'm actually starting to get a taste for romance involving musicians. They are so fascinating! And in that sense, this story was deeply satisfying. Its characters had such distinct voices and personalities, it was amazing to get to know and care for them.
The story reminded me a lot of "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days", which is one of my favorite romcoms- but at the same time it had its own original elements (mostly because, while there were several parallels between Andie and Kay, and the general idea of the story kicks off from a similar concept, that's pretty much where the resemblance stops. So it's similar, but really different. Hope that makes sense to you cause it's starting to barely make sense to me as I see it in writing).
Kay and Matt are amazing protagonists, and I could easily find them relatable in many aspects, although I admit, I found myself feeling closer to Matt than Kay. Another thing I really enjoyed was, besides the characters and the main relationship, the dynamics of the band; they had an intense and appealing dynamics both as friends and bandmates. It all made for the most engaging reading I could hope for! And, as far as relationships go, I found the added element of Matt's little brother really endearing- and what it added to Matt's character only made me swoon harder (?) for him. Cause, oh yeah, Matt is just *that* type of character a girl with specific tastes like myself just can't help but fall for. He was an incredible sweetheart, a Soft Boy (or guy, rather, cause he's 24) and that falls just right up my alley. And the chemistry between the MCs... There's a lot to be said about that, too. But I think it's better experienced first hand, so I'd strongly advice to read this.
All in all, this was a win all over for me! I'm so glad I got the chance to read it!

Katia Rose is one of those authors that I will read whatever she writes! Her books are the best contemporary goodness I need in my Life! "Your Rhythm" is no exception!! This book was really good! I really enjoyed reading this! Kay and Matt are so special! I loved them!!
Kay is trying to build her career back up. When she is offered the chance at the front page of her small newspaper she is excited until she finds out who her piece will be on. She is not thrilled to be doing a piece on "Sherbrooke Station" especially with her history with their label but she is a journalist and she has to do what she has to do. When she meets Matt the bands drummer she is immediately attracted to him but she has rules and not sleeping with her sources is one of them. She pushes past her attraction and does the article. She thinks she is done with hottie Matt and "Sherbrooke Station" but then her boss says the story was a hit so she will be doing more stories on them. The more time she spends with the band the closer she gets to Matt and the closer she get to breaking her rules.
"I trust him. I fear him. I need him."
Matt is the sexy drummer who is trying to handle becoming famous and keeping his band together! When he meets Kay he feels a connection to her and doesn't want their time to end when the interview is over. When she tells him she is going to be doing more stories about them he is excited to get to spend more time with her. He is spending time with Kay and falling for her while also juggling his band and the new agency who is not all they were cracked up to be. Matt is such a sweet guy! He really cares for his band mates and Kay. He is trying to do what is best for everyone. Falling for Kay wasn't part of the plan but it doesn't stop him!! I love him so much and him and Kay are so wonderful together! Matt is the perfect book boyfriend it is so easy to fall in love with him!!
"Why do you want me?" "Because Kay, when I'm with you I feel like.... like everything's going to be all right. You make me feel stronger, just by being around."
The band isn't perfect. They are trying to navigate their way throughout the new found fame together and it isn't easy. Kay dose such an amazing job helping to get their story out to the world! Kay and Matt are a couple I loved reading about! They were so cute together and sexy as hell!!! This is such an amazing contemporary!! It is the perfect book to read when you are in a book slump or are just looking for a cute contemporary. It is so wonderful and the sexy times are so freaking sexy like wow!!! This was so so good!! I can't wait to read about Ace, Cole, and JP!! "Sherbrooke Station" is a series I am super excited for.
"You and me, right?".... "You and me."

3.5 STARS!
Your Rhythm was an enjoyable, light, and sexy rockstar romance that kept me turning the pages until the very end. Not only because of the main couple but the guys from Sherbrooke Station. The chemistry between them was fabulous, and I can't wait to read more of them.
Overall, I'm glad that I had the chance to read this book. It brightened my mood and opened my eyes to a new author. Your Rhythm was my first Katia Rose's experience, and I can say with total sureness that it won't be my last.
